Oystertown.net finds a new home.

Oystertown.net brought together people from all over the world with one very important common interest - they were all descended from Whitstable families.

Now finding a new home as part of InCT5.co.uk, Oystertown has been released from its static format and developed into a database driven interactive experience. With much of the content built by its members Oystertown is the antipathy of a community site, where everyone helps each other.

Bit by bit the links between those townspeople, the Whitstable Natives, are being traced and in doing so long forgotten details of Whitstable's history are coming back to life.

On the way

Once Oystertown is fully migrated work will continue with the other sections. The first of these, beta date aimed for June 1st 2008, will be aimed at the other end of the spectrum from Oystertown. It will position itself very much with today's Whitstable in mind, with topical debate, resident input, community involvement and support.

After that we attack the Holy Grail; that's the Whitstable Tour, past and present.
